Aim Trainer
This aim trainer is a quick test of mouse (or finger) speed and accuracy. Targets appear one at a time at random positions; hit each as soon as you see it. After 30 targets you get your average time per target and the percentage of clicks that hit.
It takes about 20 seconds, which makes it a handy warm-up before playing a game or a way to compare mice and settings.
How the aim trainer scores you
- Time per target is measured from one hit to the next, so both your reaction and your mouse movement count.
- Clicks on empty space are misses and lower your accuracy, but do not add time directly.
- Your best average is saved in your browser so you can see whether you are improving.
Aim trainer tips
- Keep your sensitivity the same between runs – changing it resets your muscle memory.
- Aim for smooth movement and a single click rather than flicking past the target.
- Use a mouse if you can; trackpads are noticeably slower for this test.
- Try the Daily Aim Challenge on the homepage to compare with friends on an identical layout.
FAQ
What is a good aim trainer score?
It depends a lot on screen size and input device. Track your own average over several sessions rather than comparing with others on different setups.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, tap the targets with your finger. Touch scores are not comparable with mouse scores.
Why are the targets random?
Random positions stop you from memorizing a pattern. The Daily Aim Challenge is the exception: its layout is the same for everyone that day.
